Our neighbourhoods team have been commissioned to provide specialist resident advice services to people living on the Nightingale Estate in Hackney.
The original Nightingale Estate was built by the GLC between 1968 and 1972 and consisted of 987 homes. Significant regeneration of the estate was undertaken from the end of the 1990s up to 2005. The last phase of the regeneration is now underway and provides an opportunity to unite the disparate elements of the estate, transform the public realm and integrate new housing into the neighbourhood. The programme includes new homes and a community centre.
• Support and help develop the Resident Steering Group to enable them to influence the Council on final phase of regeneration on Nightingale Estate
• Work with the RSG to develop a community management model for the new community centre.
• Provide independent advice to residents on the regeneration programme on Nightingale.
